Alan Ripoll Ribas studied at Sa Blanca Dona Secondary School, where he was active in different student movements against the 2002 Education Law (LOCE) and the Iraq War. This led him to join Socialist Youth and become its General Secretary in Santa Eulària from 2005 to 2009. During this period, he campaigned actively in the social movement against the building of new motorways. From 2013 to 2016, he resumed leadership of Socialist Youth in Santa Eulària. He then became general secretary of Socialist Youth in Ibiza from 2016 to 2019. He is currently finishing his studies in Management and Public Administration at the Faculty of Law, University of Seville. He is currently head of organisation for the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) in Santa Eulària des Riu.
He has worked in different trading and handling companies at Ibiza airport during the summer. From 2016 to, 2019, he was co-ordinator in the PSOE group of the Ibiza Island Council. From July 2019 to August 2021, he has worked for the Elvissa Socialist Federation (FSE-PSOE), combining this part-time work for the municipal socialist group in Santa Eulària des Riu until 17 August 2021. He is currently working as a temporary administrative assistant for Public Services, Sant Antoni de Portmany Local Police. He has been a councillor for the Socialist group since November 2018.
