Sant Carles de Peralta
Each of the parishes was established on a territory divided long ago into districts. A parish therefore covers, even today, various districts. The Sant Carles parishes make up the entire eastern part of the municipality and contain highly beautiful spots both inland and on the coast. The town grew around the church. Built at the end of the 18th century, it has one of the most notable columned porches in all of Ibiza’s countryside. The place where the temple is located was renowned for the beauty of its landscape (which was highly praised by the archduke Luis Salvador). Inside, there is an old-style confessional, probably from the 19th century. In this parish, you can visit the famous Las Dalia and Punta Arabí markets, which are a reminder of the large numbers of hippies who came to the town from the 1960s and who left a strong mark on the town's character.
