It is in public display, until the 8th of August, the executive project to carry out the future park and sporting area that will be built next to Jesús soccer field. This initiative proposes the construction of a multipurpose court, two paddle courts, a children’s playground, as well as several resting and shaded areas complementing leisure and physical activity facilities in the Parish, complementing the existing elements and those being studied, as a future pavilion.
The aim of the submitted proposal is to use a municipal plot located next to Jesus soccer field, in Torre de Can Espanyol Street, to complete the town sportive offer. It is made by meeting the widespread demand for paddle courts throughout the municipality for some time, but above all, by the will to create a multisport and gaming space so young people can play sports freely and giving thus a wise and responsible leisure option. This type of court has proven its success to capture the interest of young people of all ages both in the “Parc des Pins” in Puig d’en Valls and on the “Passeig Solidari” in Santa Eulària.
The intervention, with an estimated budget of 828.000 euros (plus IVA), supposes also to take advantage of the plot of 3.200 square metres to build a new children’s playground, where the youngest boys and girls can enjoy themselves in a safe environment. Besides, as a c-living space, shady and resting areas will be located that will allow a pleasant and appropriate use to people of all ages.
The proposal also includes the realization of a “green belt” throughout the perimeter to help making the enclosure more welcoming. The plot on which action will be taken has several uneven levels, generating a few small natural grandstands, which will be saved by the use of appropriate ramps that will allow its use to people with reduce mobility.
Next to these actions there will be modifications in the adjacent streets to reorder parking in the area so that it is easier to access it and the soccer field for those who move from other areas of the town of Jesús or the rest of the municipality.
